Most snags in Terrace come down to permissions, stock math, or a sync that needs a nudge. Here are the common ones and how to sort them out. If your issue isn’t here, contact us and we’ll help.
Terrace shows each person only what their role allows, so a screen, chart, or button in these docs may be hidden for you.
  • Ask an Owner or Admin to check your role under Account → Roles & Permissions. Viewing, creating, editing, and deleting are each separate permissions.
  • Some product attributes also depend on your operation type (nursery vs. sod), so what you see on a product can differ.
  • Financial figures like revenue and margins are gated by their own permissions, so a teammate can work the growing schedule without ever seeing dollar amounts.
Negative stock means more has been committed or sold than Terrace has on hand, usually from overselling or a missed adjustment.
  • Check for open orders committing that product, and confirm the quantities are right.
  • Reconcile the real count with a stock adjustment, tagging it Manual Adjustment or Purchased so the history stays clear.
  • To prevent it, set a Low Stock Threshold on the product so it flags before it runs out.
An invoice stuck on Not Exported, or showing an Error, usually means the connection needs attention or the export got stuck.
  • Confirm QuickBooks is still connected under Integrations → QuickBooks (Owner or Admin only). Reauthorize with Intuit if the connection expired.
  • On the Invoices screen, use Export Status Reset on the invoice, then send it again.
  • The Reconciliation view flags Discrepancies like an amount or field mismatch between Terrace and QuickBooks, which points you to what to fix.
Two things cause this: permissions or the date range.
  • Revenue, profit margins, and other money figures require the matching permission. Ask an Owner or Admin to enable revenue visibility for your role.
  • If you do have access, widen the date range on the chart. An empty chart often just means no orders fall in the selected window.
Moving an order toward fulfillment commits product, so Terrace needs to know where it comes from.
  • When more than one growing batch could supply the order, the batch selector opens so you can choose which one to pull from. Pick a batch to continue.
  • If there isn’t enough available stock, top it up with a stock adjustment or adjust the order quantities first.
Deleting and cancelling are different, and it matters which you use.
  • Deleting an order is permanent and also removes its linked batch allocations and invoice. Going forward, use Cancel instead to keep the record and release the stock it was holding.
  • A deleted invoice can often be brought back with Restore Invoice on the Invoices screen. Prefer voiding over deleting to keep the paper trail.
Invitations and passwords are the usual culprits.
  • Resend the invitation from Account → Team Members, and double-check the email address. Invitation links can expire.
  • If they’ve forgotten their password, they can reset it with Forgot password? on the sign-in screen.
The Dashboard forecast is based on your operation’s location.
  • Set or correct your address under Account → Farm Details, and the forecast will follow.
