Trucking moves finished orders from your operation to the customer. Dispatchers assign and balance loads; drivers get a focused view of their day.

Dispatch: assigning drivers

From the trucking board (or the Dashboard’s Assign Truckers quick action), open Select Driver to see your available drivers and hand out deliveries. Assigning many orders at once? Terrace can split them:
  • Even split: spread orders evenly across drivers.
  • Fewest loads: pack orders into as few trips as possible.
  • Sequential: keep them in order, one driver at a time.
Each delivery shows a load estimate (Light Load, Moderate Load, or Heavy Load) and a delivery window: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, or Anytime. The board surfaces Conflicts when assignments collide, plus stats like Active Routes, Completed Today, and Revenue. Delivery assignments move through: UnassignedAssignedScheduledIn TransitDelivered, with Overdue flagged automatically.

Routes and the map

Terrace plots deliveries on a live map with Truck Location, and routes respect your preference: Fastest, Standard, Local Roads, or No Tolls.

The driver’s view

Team members with the Trucking role skip the operation dashboard and land on their own workspace:
  • Today’s Plan: the day’s deliveries in sequence.
  • My Deliveries: everything assigned to them.
  • Active Order: the delivery in progress, with address, contact, items, and the actions to mark it picked up and delivered.
  • Order History: what they’ve completed.
As drivers update their deliveries, the linked orders move through In Transit and Delivered for everyone else watching, with no radio check-ins required.
Assigning drivers is permission-gated (Assign Drivers), separate from changing order status, so dispatchers and drivers each get exactly the controls they need.
